Heart To Heart : My Engagement Day

Assalamualaikum and hello lovelies! :) It has been two good weeks because I just got back from Krabi! *Woohooooo*. And also.... I got engaged a week before that. ^_^ I was not sure whether I want to blog about it in the first place but many of you asked for it so yeah why not. *hehe* I better do it now before I forget about the details. My engagement was very simple. The 'pelamin' and all the decoration is made by my sister, Kak Ngah. Thank God!! She is the creative one in the family. And I was able to rent out some of the props such as the white fur carpet and the mirror boxes at Something Borrowed by Nawal. The 'hantaran'  is made by my Mama and Kak Ngah. Most of the 'hantaran' props is bought in SSF. Kak long helped me to do the doorgifts and teman me to go buy my tudung. And of course Babah help me to be the 'banker'. *Muahaha* :D Me? I helped a bit here and there la. :P Oh I bought fresh flowers in Floristika, Bangsar. They are so cheap, I couldn't belive my eyes. *haha*. Go and check it out if you want to buy fresh flowers ok?  I AM SO THANKFUL to have such an amazing family to help out everything, seriously. :') Thanks korang, love you guys! 

As you know that I did my own make up that day. Yes I know, I will do a makeup tutorial on the entire look, I promise! I'm just searching for the right time to film it because I need good lighting. So stay tuned for that okay? (*updated* CLICK HERE FOR MY ENGAGEMENT MAKEUP TUTORIAL) :) My dress is actually a ready to wear collection from Jovian Mandagie called Joseia from The New Jluxe Collection. I love it because it's simple and yet gorgeous. In the beginning I was planning to wear a royal blue coloured dress, but it is so damn hard to find a royal blue dress that I like. When I walked into JStore in Bangsar, I saw Joseia and I know it's the one. ^_^ But of course, I need to get it altered because as you know I am 'fun-sized'. So additional 'ka-chingggggg' gone. T_T But I love how it turned out, so don't care about it so much because I can now recycle the dress for my baju ray. *hehe* As for my shawl, it is from Al-Humairah Contemporary. It is a peach chiffon shawl with gold glitter effect (code name Betsy BY 06). I also bought the Agnes Inner in cream colour to wear underneath the shawl as the shawl is a bit see through. and I added on this gorgeous lace which my sister bought from Jakel. The lace is expensive (seriously) but it's ok lah because my dad paid for it. *bahahaha* :P

I know it's such a long intro before you gotta see the photos *evil face* but I need to share the story that I actually fell sick a day before my engagement which was on Sunday. When I woke up that Saturday, I was feeling light-headed. But I was still okay so I went to Pavilion to pick-up my cake and cookies for the 'hantaran'. When I got home, the dizziness level is unbearable and I spent the whole noon till evening in bed. T_T. I eventually got up and helped out to arrange the fresh flowers and created my hand bouquet. But I can't sit or stand for long and I need to lie down. So I went back to bed. I felt so dizzy, nausea and it was so bad guys. I was supposed to bake 3 cakes and 1 type of cookies for my dessert table but I only managed to baked 1 cookies, 1 victoria sandwich cake but I was not able to make the filling. A bit too ambitious I guess? :( I was mad because why does it have to be now? Why does it have to be a day before my engagement? I went to bed that night feeling awful. And you know what, I vomited 5 times that night, yes 5! :(  But I felt sooooo much better afterwards and I was able to sleep. When I woke up the next morning, I felt slightly dizzy but you know, I gotta pull it together. I was still feeling like throwing up but it's not as bad as the day before. Do you know how it feels when you have so much 'angin' in your body and you can't let it out? OH MY GOSH, I HATE IT!! Anyway, to make it short, I was sick for about a week (I was still sick during my trip to Krabi). My friend who has gastric told me that I might have gastric as I have all the symptoms. But NO, I did not starve myself just because I'm getting engaged. However lots of people told me I might fell sick due to stress and over exhausted. I don't know lah, I just don't want it to happen again. It was so uncomfortable. :(
