Assalamualaikum and hello everyone! Can you believe June is almost ending? In a about 4 more days Muslims are celebrating the holy month of Ramadan and I can't wait for it! The fasting, 'terawih' prayers, basically it's the month for Muslims to multiply our 'ibadah' towards Allah S.W.T. ^_^ But of course, when it comes to Ramadan, we can not forget about Ramadan bazaar and Ramadan buffet, am I right? I know sometimes it's hard to find a place for 'buka puasa' because we are spoiled with choices! Today I want to share with you guys on a Ramadan Buffet 'Dapur Nusantara', brought to you by Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC)
You may choose to sit indoor.....
Or outdoor.
The Ramadan buffet is called 'Dapur Nusantara' simply because KLGCC wants to present the best of Asian cuisines on the table especially from our Malaysian heritage, as well as from Indonesia and Thailand. The buffet includes 40 live action stalls, serving 270 dishes to captivate your palettes. I don't want talk so much about it, so lets take a look what they have in store!
Kambing Panggang is definitely the 'most wanted' menu in any Ramadan buffet.
Ya, your read right. Lidah (Tongue) Bakar. :D It is actually very nice, I like it! :P
Nasi Buluh which is cooked in a bamboo, has serunding filling and eaten with other condiments such as sambal udang, etc.
The making of Kek Lobak Goreng
Gear box anyone? ;)
Lok Lok.
They also serve other dishes such as Som Tam and Ayam Golek Bumbu Cabai.
Sweet 'traditional' desserts that are wrapped in leaves.
Traditional 'kuih' such as Seri Muka, Talam Keladi, etc
This is a popular dish from Indonesia. Banana fritters sprinkled with cheese.
Es Teler, my favourite dessert from Indonesia. It is sort of like our ABC, but Es Teler has fruits such as Avocado and jackfruit.
Local fruits
'Dapur Nusantara' also offers dishes that can be eaten with rice.
Selection of cakes for desserts. Yummy!
'Biskut dalam tin'. *hahaha* so adorable! This reminds me of my childhood! :)
These are some of the dishes I had that night....
Cheesecake, bread pudding and apple pie (or is it apple crumble)
You will be entertained by the talented performers every night for the whole month.
I was so full by end of the evening, I ate a lot! :P If you are looking for a 'buka puasa' venue for your companies or even for gatherings, why don't you drop by KLGCC and experience the menu of 'Dapur Nusantara' for yourself? I'm pretty sure you won't regret it. Lots of choices to fulfill everyone needs. ^_^
I would like to say a big thanks to the lovely chefs for taking their time to explain and introduce us to the menu. It was a great pleasure and wonderful experience. ^_^
