BEAUTY | Review : Amy Mascara Lovely BB Cream

Oh I'm sorry for being away the whole last week. I can't help it that I was feeling under the weather. But I can't stay away from my blog that long because lets face it, what do I do without blogging? ;) Anyway I'm gonna share with all of you a makeup product that is from our home country, Malaysia! Yes I'm always into local made products because it's important to be supportive to our fellow Malaysian right? ;)

AMY MASCARA Lovely BB Cream

Amy Mascara is a Malaysian brand that produces makeup items, and particularly today I want to talk about its Lovely BB Cream. BB Cream is the base of your makeup, where it acts as the same function of a foundation but in a lighter version. Amy Mascara Lovely BB Cream is a 9 in 1 product which acts as sunblock, whitening cream, concealer, moisturizer, foundation, make up base and helps in skin repairing, oil-control and refining pores. It is enriched with Mushroom and Leaf extract. This is KKM approved and halal-product, also a wudhu'-friendly product so you don't have to worry when you have to perform your prayer when you are outside as you can easily perform your wudhu' without having to remove your makeup. Water will penetrate into the skin even though you do not remove the BB Cream. Furthermore it contains SPF 35 that can protect our skin from the harmful UV rays.

It is claimed to :

~ Cover pigmentation, blemishes and scars

~ Non-oily

~ No patches even though under the hot sun

~ No dry patches around nose and mouth area

~ Won't dry up the skin

~ Flawless makeup finish

~ Long-wearing up to 16 hours

~ The BB Cream will last for 3 - 5 months

~ Travel - friendly

Lets talk about the packaging first. It comes in a squeeze tube where you need to squeeze out the product (well obviously). I personally find it hard to squeeze out the product. I kind need to squeeze real hard. I just wish that the product will come out easier or maybe just change the packaging to a more user friendly bottle. I don't mind the plastic bottle, maybe a different design will be better.

The Lovely BB Cream only comes in one shade that supposedly will match any skin tone colours. I am more towards the fair skin type and it works pretty well on me. I'm not sure how it will look like on darker skin tones.

The texture of the Lovely BB Cream is quite creamy and that makes it easy to blend by just using my fingers. It appears to be fairer when I applied it on my skin but eventually it will matched up with my skin tone. It dries quite quickly therefore I need to rub it into my skin pretty fast. It absorbs into my skin in no time and does not leave any greasy feeling which I really appreciate. I did not use the BB Cream for 16 hours but I had it on for at least 6 hours and it stayed on pretty well. But I do notice that the BB Cream rubbed off around my nose area, maybe because I love to touch my nose with no reason at all. I would say the BB Cream is a light to medium coverage. I still need to use my concealer to cover my blemishes and my acne scars. I'm not sure whether the BB Cream really does it jobs in refining my pores, moisturize and repairing my skin condition, I guess I need more time to test it out to see if it really does make a difference in my skin condition. As for the wudhu-friendly part, I am not sure whether it really does that because it seems to be waterproof therefore I am not sure how does it really penetrates water into the skin. Maybe I need to experiment more with the product to have better understanding. As for the price point, I think it's pretty steep for a new local brand. RM79.90 for a 30 ml of BB Cream is a bit expensive. Maybe change the packaging to make it a bit more expensive and upsize the quantity of the product.

The product itself gets a thumbs up for me because I think it's a very good everyday product. It has this subtle fragrant which is okay for me. It does it jobs which is to even out my skin tone and provide me a light to medium coverage. No hassle in applying and major love for the non-greasy feeling. And the fact that it claims to be wudhu'-friendly and halal is definitely a major plus point. But again, I need to experiment more on this part because I'm not sure how it works. The only thing I don't like about is the packaging. I just wish the product will come out of the tube smoothly. I can't really tell how much of the product is left in the bottle because the tube is actually brown in colour. BEAUTY | Review : Fragrance - Hugo Boss Bottled Intense

Today's review is going to be a little bit different as I will be reviewing a men's fragrance by Hugo, BOSS BOTTLED INTENSE. Well I'll be reviewing from my point of view and also my husband's opinion about this perfume. :) This is the first part of men's fragrances review, another 2 parts will be published after several weeks so keep a look out of that. I think getting the opinion from the ladies regarding men's perfumes is also important because well, we are the one who's going to enjoy it! :D

BOSS BOTTLED INTENSE reveals the #manoftoday and his strength of character, his depth, his intense passion, his unwavering determination and drive, all powerful traits that help to push him to achieve his goals and dreams. What are the ingredients of this intense fragrance? It has woods, spices and a powerful concentration of precious oils. Bright apple is tempered by a calmer and more composed green orange blossom. The top note of this fragrance is the combination of green orange blossom laced with crisp apple and mixed with spiced storm of geranium, cinnamon and clove. The base note includes sandalwood, vetiver and cedar wood, wrapped in sensuous vanilla.These are the reason why this fragrance is less sweet and more masculine but of course luxurious.

*MAN OF TODAY = He lives his life with intensity, yet staying grounded.

The bottle's design is as the same as the classic BOSS BOTTLED, but with a darker, more opulent juice within its opaque glass bottle. I like how the bottle simple and straight forward. It simply defines masculinity, elegance and strength of a man.

Gerard Butler, BOSS BOTTLED INTENSE ambassador and #manoftoday represents the strength and charm of masculine men, courageous, confident and also enjoys and embraces life experiences. I think he's the perfect fit to define masculinity!

My husband said the fragrance makes him feel masculine and confident. It is very long-lasting, he only needed to spray a few spritz and it will last through out the whole day. I love this perfume! I think it's sexy, masculine, classy and luxurious. It's the perfect scent to describe masculinity of a man! I actually used 2 bottles of Hugo Boss perfume (I'm not sure which one but it's the same exact bottle like this one) when I was in university. I loved it so much that I wore a men's perfume! :P The scent of BOSS BOTTLED INTENSE is deeper and more intense than the one I've used before, but it's good, real good! It's is so gorgeous, you girls really need to take a sniff and you'll get what I mean. Get one for your partner! ;)

LIFESTYLE | Review : Toletta, the Premium Toilet Seat Cover

Wait, hold on. Are we really gonna talk about toilet seat cover? Well yes, you are not imagining it. *ahaha* It's a topic that I've always want to talk about, hygiene in the public toilets. Lets face it, most public toilets in Malaysia are not exactly clean. I have encountered so many dirty, smelly and disgusting public toilets in petrol stations including those in higher-end shopping malls and hotels! Why hygiene is important? Well obviously you don't want to be infected any sorts of disease or sickness due to the growth of germs, bacteria in the toilet, especially the toilet seat. You sit on it and do your business. Can you just imagine how many people have sat on the toilet bowl? Can you imagine what sticks on the toilet seat? All the viruses and bacterias from so many people? T_T I can easily get squirmy and disgusted whenever the toilet is smelly and dirty. I mean I will force myself to 'tahan' just because I can't stand going to these awful toilets!

There are few public toilets that has the hygienic gel where you can use to wipe on the toilet seat cover, that's good news. What about those toilets that does not provide it? I've used toilet seat cover which I bought in the pharmacy but they are so thin and it feels like they are not doing anything to protect me. You would say, why don't you use the squad type toilet instead of the toilet bowl? You won't get any infection from that! I've always prefer the toilet bowl rather than the squad type because it is more comfortable especially now during my 7th month pregnancy, I can't squad anymore and I definitely need to sit down. And being pregnant, I can't control my bladder. When it needs to go, IT HAS TO GO. :D

Toletta donates 10% of of their sales to two charities. The packaging of Toletta comes in 2 colours which is pink and blue which is to differentiate which organizations they are donating to. PINK packs represent the breast cancer awareness while the BLUE packs represent child poverty awareness. I always love when a company donates some part of their proceed to those who in needs, kudos!

What I like about Toletta is that it comes in a travel pack where I can fit it nicely inside my handbag. It's compact and easy to bring along whenever I go. One pack has 5 pieces of toilet seat cover. Toletta premium toilet seat cover has 3 ply paper so it is thicker than any other toilet seat cover. Each of the toilet seat cover is 42% thicker to helps prevent infection from bacteria and viruses. And also, it has 3 layers of anti-bacterial protection. The toilet seat cover is also larger and it can cover the entire toilet cover. It is biodegradable so you can flush it down the toilet as the paper will break down in waste and septic system.

Like seriously I don't have to use toilet paper anymore to cover the toilet seat. What I always did was I will take 3 pieces of tissue paper and create a triangle and put it on the toilet seat. Hard work I tell you! *ahaha* Now I don't have to do that anymore, it saves time and oh so convenient! Each of the pack is priced at RM8.50 but now Health Hub is having a sale so it is only RM6.50 per pack! They also selling it in a pack of 3 which only retails at RM18.00 (Original price is RM21.00). Now that's a good deal!

Now you better start being concern about the hygiene in public toilets. Nowadays you can get sick easily and you must always be prepare to prevent it. I hope this info and suggestion helps you to be more aware about cleanliness and hygiene. Take care of yourself okay? :)

FASHION | Eid 2015 : 2nd Day OOTD

Assalamualaikum and hello.

Kicking off the lovely month of August with my second day outfit for Eid this year. I am obsessed with this Sanniya Jubah dress by PopLook. I love the floral prints on the sleeve, as well as on the upper part of the dress, it enhances the whole dress despite being a plain black Jubah. I got the size Small as I have always been a small size whenever I purchase from PopLook. It fits me perfectly except of course I need to alter the dress to make it shorter as you know yours truly is a petite/fun-sized lady. :D This Jubah dress is only RM109.00 (seriously), I think it's super affordable considering that nowadays Jubah dress can cost RM150 and above. I think this dress is currently out of stock but I read on the instagram saying that they will restock it. So keep a look out for it if you are interested okay?

If you can see the pleated part on the dress, this would be perfect for a pregnant lady because it can stretch out depending on the size of your baby bump. You can definitely wear this if you are not pregnant as well. :)

I pair the dress with my grey beaded chiffon shawl by FLY by QD & Sabby (which is my own brand with my partner. But we are no longer producing any items). I paired them together as there are bits of grey on the floral print so I guess that would be a good match. I used my Longchamp Le Pliage Neo handbag in Medium to complement the whole look. I freaking love this bag! It is so roomy and it just goes with every outfit I have on! As for accessories, I kept it simple with my 2 gold rings, my engagement ring and wedding ring. Oh gotta put on a pair of sunnies to make the look more stylish. *hahaha*
