BEAUTY | Review : Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil

Assalamualaikum and hello.

I first fell in love with Clarins when I started using their Tonic Body Treatment Oil during my pregnancy. I actually still am using it, but I'll be out of it in a few more weeks. It lasted me for about 11 months because with oil-based products, a little goes a long way. Why I love it? Simply because my stretch marks has totally reduced at least 75% and my tummy area feels soft. I highly recommend this body oil to every pregnant woman out there.

Other than body oil, Clarins products also include Face Treatment Oil which has 3 variants, Santal, Lotus and Blue Orchid. But for this post, we will be looking into the Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil. All of Clarins face treatment oil contains Hazelnut Oil that is rich in anti-free radical vitamin E and nourishing fatty acids to improve permanent and temporary skin imbalances. These oils are 100% precious pure plant extracts and contains no preservatives. 

I love that it comes with a dropper. It makes application so much easier and you can estimate how much you need each time. No wastage is going to happen.

The texture itself feels like a lighter version of oil. It is not as thick as I thought it would be. I only use 1 or 2 drops each application and it is more than enough for the entire face. The method application as suggested by Clarins is to use it with combining the oil with night cream or face mask. Or you can even use it on its own after toning. Maybe it is more suitable to be used during night time since it is an oil-based products. I actually use the face oil (1 drop) during my morning skincare routine, and I really like it. I use the face oil replacing my moisturizer (which means it is also as a base before my foundation). Gently pat the oil on the face and neck. Yes it does feel slightly greasy but I always let it air out for 10 minutes and continue with my makeup routine. I do not have any problem with my makeup sliding off whatnot, it feels normal. As for mixing it up with my night cream, I haven't tried that method, but I've used it with my face mask. 2 drops into my face mask, and the skin is in heaven! My skin feels so soft and radiant, as if I have been soaking my face in water 24/7. Do I love this product? Yes but I need to try using it in other ways, we can be creative with this product. :D I think Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil has so much to offer, the product itself is versatile, you can use it on its own or mix it with your other skincare products. Find a way that suitable to your skin type, you will be in moisture-heaven! :)
