We had an impromptu trip to Genting Highlands last Sunday. We went to a wedding in Bentong and since we were already in the area, my husband suggested that we go to Genting Highlands since I told him several months ago that I wanted to try out the famous Burger & Lobster restaurant. I believe it's famous in London, correct me if I'm wrong. Okay so even though I really want to try this restaurant out, I have to put a disclaimer that I don't really eat seafood. Meaning that if there's a plate of steak and a plate of lobster in front of me, I would choose the steak over the lobster. With that being said, please read this review from the point of view of someone who rarely eat seafood, okay? :D
What I love the about the restaurant is the simplicity of the menu. There's only 3 types of food with 3 variation. You can choose to have burgers, wild lobsters or lobster rolls. My husband chose the Wild Lobster (The Original) and I chose the Lobster Rolls (The Chilli). I've been wanting to try the lobster roll so that is what I'm getting! All of the menu comes with a side of fries and salad (except for the Chilli Lobster).
This is The Chilli Lobster Roll. The bread used is a toasted brioche which is nicely toasted and crispy on the outside. The amount of lobster meat is generous, alongside with other toppings. Even though this is a chilli rolls, it is not spicy at all. The brioche is warm while the lobster meat is cold. You need to know that lobster rolls is considered as a cold sandwich. For me, the lobster rolls is lovely. The warm toasted brioche is still soft even though I waited for a while to eat it. Every bite is is a mouthful. I highly recommend trying this out if you are not really into seafood because the bread slightly mellowed down the taste of the lobster. The lobster meat is sweet and juicy, I can tell that it's really fresh. The fries is quite salty but goes perfectly while eating the lobster roll. I give this dish 4 out 5 stars.
My husband ordered The Original Wild Lobster with Lemon & Garlic Butter sauce. It also comes with a side of fries and salad. My husband loves seafood, he said that yes it's taste good, it's fresh and sweet, but he said there's nothing special about it. But he loves the lemon & Garlic Butter sauce as it completes the dish. From my point of view, it's alright, but I would choose the lobster rolls over this or maybe try the burger next time.
Both of us ordered Coke and the total bill came up to RM280 which is pretty okay because I know lobster is expensive. Oh they have 2 pricing, one is for member price (Genting Card) and non-member price. If you do have the card, you can actually save quite a lot. It was a good experience dining in and we love the fact that we don't have to queue at all! We ate round 3 to 4 pm and there was no queue. When were done eating, roughly around 6pm, the queue has gotten super long! So if you want to try eating here without having to queue, just avoid lunch and dinner time. I think around 3-5pm is perfect timing. Would I come here again? Yes sure, because I really want to try the Chilli Lobster and burgers. :)

Then afterwards we walked around the SkyAvenue shopping mall area, took some photos and just enjoy the rest of the day. It was a really super short food trip, thanks so much to my husband for fulfilling my request. Love youuuu! :D

I hope this review help you if you want to know more about the food in Burger & Lobster. I enjoyed the food, the ambiance and of course the company if my family. :) It was really a good Sunday, I wish all my Sundays are like that. *hehe*
