Hey you guys! It has been a long time since I last review a restaurant/food review, and guess what? I am back to review Pak John Steamboat & BBQ! If you have been my reader for a very long time, you might have come across my review on this restaurant back in 2014 (it was named Pak John Steamboat & Yong Tau Foo back then). Wow it has been about 4 and a half years since I last enjoyed good food at this restaurant and now they have a new outlet in IOI City Mall, Putrajaya!
I love the ambiance of the restaurant, it's clean, spacious, with bright but cozy lighting. The seating arrangement is properly planned out and if you want to make reservation for larger group, be sure to call them out first to avoid any inconvenience okay?
This is the aisle of the food selection. On the right side is cooked food such as fried rice, spaghetti and finger foods like nuggets, sausage and so on. While on the left is the raw ingredients to be used for steamboat or BBQ. There's a wide selection of ingredients you can choose from and the quality of the ingredients is good too. I personally love the black pepper beef and premium lamb, so good! The marinate mix of the black pepper beef is really nice! And of course you can find the seafood selection on the same section of the beef and chicken. In this aisle you will also find fishballs, crabsticks, chicken balls and anything like it for your steamboat. Going slightly further, you will find choices of vegetables and you can pick out your preferred veggies. Not forgetting noodles lover, check out their selection of noodles! I love the spinach noodles!

Beverage is also self-service so you can just pick any drinks you like and refill as many times as you want!
If you want to try premium cuts, go ahead at the back of the restaurant and order it! I love the premium lamb slice, they were so good!

I personally think the best thing about Pak John Steamboat & BBQ is the variety of sauces and condiments they have. You can mix around with all the sauces available and condiments depending on your preference. I love anything garlic-y, spicy and sweet sauces, so I can play around with what I like the most!
This restaurants serves two types of cooking method, whether you can grill or cook your food in soup. In Pak John, they have several types of soups you can choose from and we chose the tomyam soup and it goes so good with all of the ingredients. And as for the grill pan, if i gets dirty and blackened while you are grilling, you can ask the staff to change a new grilling plate for you.
Good food is to be enjoyed with good friends, and my bloggers best buddies (Suzai and Pika) had an amazing lunch date catching up while we eat! *hehehe* You guys should plan out your lunch date here because the place is casual and bright enough to have meaningful conversation with your buddies and families!
It's only RM32.90++ to RM42.90++ (adult) you guys, super affordable as you can choose about 150 dishes to devour! I am definitely gonna bring my family here to eat out and spend time together. There are two outlets at the moment, one in E-Curve and another one in IOI City Mall. But I think you guys should try out the IOI City Mall outlet to experience the ambiance. :)
